I'm going to Perth in Two Weeks Time...

and despite having lived in brisbane for over 17 years now, I don't know a thing about Perth.

Hi everyone I'm going to Perth on Christmas night and I need help on accomodation, public transport and all. I'm trying to look for the cheapest accomodation for a student (without it being cheesy) - something simple and reasonably comfortable. Anyone travel savvy or Perth savvy here? Help is required and ASAP too. Thanks everyone.

Rockingham is the place to go if you want the beach, as far as I could make out.
Good little cafe down there as well...does an amazing breakfast.

My impression of Perth itself was that it was immaculate, with beautiful and modern skyscrapers here and there.

Peppermint cove is nice, and a stroll up to the main war memorial will give you a great view of the city.

I'm at the aiport right now, awaiting my first flight to Perth.

Hoping to make it as far down south as Esperance.

If the credit card stretches that far.
