I didn't address this part well enough...
You can just erase the "admin" from the address bar, then hit "return" -- what comes up is how other people see it.
Or you can go to the "p" in the upper right corner, hover the mouse over it, and select "show/ hide icons." Then it will appear the same way as what other people would see, whether or not it's published (it's a good way to test things if you're not sure you want to keep it).
