Chad, the Cross-Country Googler Prank ...that's a prank pulled on google.

The people at google were amused enough to send a bunch of free tshirts to the pranksters for their effort.

I just found this out by typing fast and without looking, you know, a typo...

If you live in Canada, you know when you go to www.google.com , how it redirects you to www.google.ca .. Well, I found out a way to go to the american google, without going to www.google.com , you go to www.gppgle.com ...

By the way, Blitz, those are not identical to the US google.com. E.g. they currently do not include a link to froogle on the index page.

However, www.google.com/ncr will actually load the US google page regardless of which country you're visiting from.

New Google easter egg -- type let it snow into a Google search to make it start snowing on the Google page. You can click the defog button to stop the fog so you can see through the snow. Click the Google logo to return to the standard Google page without snow.

@ehBeth,
Yep! Couldn't remember what it was when I did it the first time. It looked like a bunch of valley fog so I figured that was what it was called.

I guess the "frost" part of it comes in play if you're using "Windows" and your monitor has frosted over.

For those that don't want to give it a try, here's a video of what it does:

@Butrflynet,
Doesn't seem to work for me. I type in "let it snow" and it takes me to a page with a whole lof of hits for stories dealing with this Google story. And I use Google as my home page, too.
