Does anyone know if there are any homework websites out there where I can print out something for my child to work on at home? He's in the 2nd grade and gets one homeork assignment every week. He breezes through it and hands it in, so I think everything is fine. Until I got his report card today, which is not so good. I've been running search engines but can't seem to find a site that would be helpful. Any suggestions? If so, I'm all ears. Thanks.
You might be better off doing searches on more specific subjects and looking for lesson plans.
For instance, if you do a Google search on "lesson plan for biology class" you'll find quite a few sites.
An example of one is here:

Here's another:

Here's one on geography:

And another:

Here's another one that actually provides printable worksheets.

Congratulations on your keen interest in your son's education. You can tighten the search to lesson plans for second graders to find ones on the grade level of your son's abilities.
Mz. Daizy--
Talk to your child's teacher. Every second grade class is different and while you can drill your son on fractions this won't help if his trouble is with the multiplication tables.
Is your son hurrying to get his work finished and making careless mistakes? The teacher would know.
Thanks. The one homework assignment he gets in school now is a spelling list that he needs to write sentence from. He's very good at that, which is why he flies through it. I always make sure to proofread for mistakes and grammer. English isn't a problem for him. Thanks for the list of sites. I'll try refining my searches. I have a parent conference tonight, so I'm hoping to address the homework issue. Thanks again.
Education is huge in this house. I appreciate your compliment, Butrflynet.
