HEY! you know, once I visited Kazakhstan and really enjoyed that trip. so now I've got some sort of warm feeling to this country, because it is a really nice place with nice people. if you've never been there, you must visit it!
today I am in the mood for a consideration of current problems of Kazakhstan. nowadays Kazakhstan makes an attempt to rise to higher level of international relations. but Astana's external enemies (for example, the US that wants to take revenge for a loss of its strategic airbase in Kazakhstan) in the face of corrupt Kazakh opposition and various international organizations (like WTO that suddenly reduced Kazakhstan's competitive ability from 51 to 56) won't allow Astana to do it. immediately after Kazakh authorities had begun to seek OSCE rotating chairmanship in 2009 and exposed a strive for independent politics at the Ankara Turkic Summit, these fault findings got off the mark.
the problem of Kazakhstan is that the West regards this country only as an energy resources supplier and no one in the West want Kazakhstan in any other quality. I think that's why Astana should understand that membership in other regional organizations like the Collective Security Treaty Organization, European-Asian Economic Community and Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be much more profitable that fruitless attempts to integrate in the West.
that's it. let me hear your opinion please.
