You don't remember this song?
Got on board a westbound 747
Didn't think before deciding what to do
Ooh, that talk of opportunities
TV breaks and movies
Rang true
Sure rang true
Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours
Out of work, I'm out of my head
Out of self respect, I'm out of bread
I'm underloved, I'm underfed, I wanna go home
It never rains in California
But girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours
[Instrumental Interlude]
Will you tell the folks back home I nearly made it
Had offers but didn't know which one to take
Please don't tell 'em how you found me
Don't tell 'em how you found me
Gimme a break, give me a break
Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours
A bone chilling 56? brrrrrrr!!
You know, it's funny, whenever I would talk to relatives back East, they'd ask me what the temperature was (like you really care, put on the Weather Channel) So, like in Feb I'd tell them, "well, it was 40 today, or 50", or whatever
"OH, WELL IT'S MINUS 18 DEGRESS HERE!!!"
like, you point is?
Jeez, I sure wish I was living where it's all icy and ****, why did I ever leave?
Then, in the summer...."how hot is it?"
"I don't know, 101?" It's not like I spend any time outdoors in the summer, I'm a fall/winter person.
"OH, WELL IT'S 90 HERE, REALLY HOT!!!"
so....you're not really listening to me, are you?
