Reapplication of Immolation

Try as we might, it is impossible for anyone to hold the current generations solely responsible for the present condition of the world. In this time, much of the degeneration which has occurred, did not begin with them. Instead, it began with those generations that established the current order of the universe. During their times, those previous generations had to apply and present their share of Appropriate Sacrifice. But at the end of that presentation, they became tired, wearied, and revulsed by all that they had to endure. So, rather than have their children sacrifice, these parents chose to shield them from the "horrors" which it brings. And by shielding these children from presenting any substantial or Appropriate Sacrifices, they increased their rate of corruption and spoil. And with this increased rate of corruption, those children in turn corrupted and spoiled the subsequent generations. Therefore, with the repetition of this cycle, One ends up with the present generations and the problems of this current world. So, today as we stay on this current course, let us continue by examining what happens without the consistent presentation of Appropriate Sacrifice.

As we are now aware, sacrifice is the key to all change. There is no visible or invisible transformation or change which is accomplished without its application. Applied improperly or not at all, it will bring negative change and eventual ruin. Applied suitably, it will bring positive change and eventual success. Therefore, though it may appear to be loving, in the End, the avoidance of any meaningful sacrifice is not in the best interest of any person or group. Many of those who exist in a state of relative wealth, have come to the conclusion that sacrifice is only required of those who are caught in the clutches of poverty. They are sadly mistaken. Little do they know that their lack of Appropriate Sacrifice, will only lead to the eventual loss of that wealth. As seen in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, it is of no avail in the End to ignore or neglect One's duty (Luke 16:19-31).

Now, this conclusion that sacrifice is only required by the less fortunate is not a new one. It is to be expected. At the end of every age, this is the inference that many of those who have come to exist in situations of relative wealth will generally arrive at. If One will recall, from Increasing and Decreasing Immolations, we became aware of the fact that this mindset is the result of the third Principle of Sacrificial Application. In that principle, we are told that, "When Suitably or Appropriately presented or applied during any Stage of development, the need for and the level of desire for Immolation diminishes as One moves towards the Latter Stages. So, that Suitable Sacrifice, which was presented by those earlier generations, coupled with the inability of those parents to teach their progeny about the benefits of sacrifice, has given us those who have been coddled and shielded from the realities of this life. And because of this upbringing, these have come to view their wealth and the world as their own personal possessions. And with this mindset in tow, they refuse to present any significant sacrifice for the betterment of their neighbors. In fact, because many of them have never personally experienced the effects of gut-wrenching poverty, they have come to see these same lowly neighbors as roadblocks to the fulfillment of their own selfish desires. Therefore, even though they are envied by many, these who are considered wealthy, are also detested by many more. And contrary to what some have been taught to believe, they are not detested because of their wealth. Instead, they are detested because of that selfishness and their inability to truly present a meaningful sacrifice. As the rich young ruler in Luke 18:22 discovered, meaningful sacrifice is required to follow the Lord. And just as he was unable to present that sacrifice, many of those who exist in a parallel state, are also unable to do the same. This is because, in their current state of blindness, this wealth is seen as a form of godliness (1Tim. 6:5) Many have concluded that if they are wealthy, then they must be godly. Little do they understand that this is the farthest thing from the truth. But who is able to tell them this? In their minds they cannot fathom, that at the Finish, this same wealth which has afforded them all of the luxuries of this present world, is the handicap which will lead to their downfall.

Throughout history, all of the nations that have become great, are those which have discovered that Appropriate Sacrifice is the key which unlocks the doors of change. It is a tool unlike any other. Applied appropriately and consistently, it is what brings the nations of the world into their positions of prestige and great honor. Its ability to take a nation from that lowly and humble birth, is a most remarkable feat to behold. As it comes into existence, a nation's years of Appropriate Sacrifice will form the character of its people. This will be accomplished by marking and individualizing two traits: First, it will change and shape that group's total emotional and intellectual response to reality. Secondly, it will transform and change their ethics. The world is not seen in the same light after One truly has to sacrifice. Reality and ethics will change when One is forced to go days without food and clean drinking water. One's reality and ethics will change when One is sick and there is no medicine or doctor to run to. One becomes more appreciative when loved ones are constantly dying all around you: One day you bury a child and the next day it is a mother, and then a father, etcÂ… And by the time it is finished, you have buried all of your next of kin. So, when it has finished its work, an Appropriate Sacrifice will prepare that nation for its ascent to a new and more dignified position.

On the other hand, throughout history, all of the nations which have fallen, are those same ones which were once great. These are those who were lifted up by their application of that sacrifice. And just as Appropriate Sacrifice is the key which unlocks the doors of change, a lack of sacrifice or Improper Sacrifice is the force which closes that door. It too is a tool unlike any other. Applied appropriately and consistently, it is what brings the great nations of the world crumbling and tumbling down into inferior positions of subordination and subservience (Matt. 19:30). Its ability to take a nation from that high and lofty perch, to that cold and dark cellar, is a most remarkable feat to behold. As that nation continues to overindulge in its greatness, that lack of sacrifice will change and corrupt the character of its people. This will also be accomplished by marking and individualizing those same traits which were marked during its ascent: First, it will change and corrupt that group's total emotional and intellectual response to reality (Matt. 24:12). Secondly, it will transform and corrupt their ethics or moral principles. For those who have never really had to sacrifice, the world takes on a whole different look. Reality and ethics will change when One has been the center of attention and praise. Reality and ethics will corrupt when One has an overabundance of food and clean drinking water. Reality and ethics will change for the worse, when One is sick and able to consistently receive the best medical attention. Reality and ethics will change for the worse, when there is little to worry about. Reality and Ethics will change when One becomes rotten and spoiled. One will begin to think that they are really the center of the universe. One will also begin to think that God owes and serves them. So, when that Improper Sacrifice has finished its work, it will have prepared that nation for its descent back into that lowly and undignified position.

Now, corruption cannot be completely eliminated. As some of the ancients had discovered, corruption is an intrinsic part of existing on the material plane. But as they also discovered, it is linked to the length of a nation's existence. They observed that those nations which where able to last for the greatest duration of time, were those whose generations were able to corrupt at a low level of speed. And those nations which were only able to last a short amount of time, were those which were unable to slow down their rate of generational corruption. From their observations, the ancients concluded that all corruption is similar. And if similar, then the decay which is brought about by the rewards of a Suitable Sacrifice can be controlled. Therefore, just like other corruptions, it can be made to accelerate or it can be made to decelerate.

So, from this discovery, the ancients realized that there is a principle of application which counteracts the inevitable effects of corruption. This principle which is called the Principle of Reapplication states, "Sacrifice is needed on a consistent basis. To maintain or supersede the gains of the previous generation, it must be reapplied suitably and consistently with each new generation." This means that each new generation must be taught to sacrifice. And not only taught by verbal means, but also through personal participation and application. Each passing generation must come to understand that if they wished to remain in their positions, sacrifice for the whole must be cherished and consistently applied.

Finally, as we are now aware, one of the most important facts about life which we can't avoid, is the presentation of sacrifice. One cannot completely shirk their duties and run away from its presentation. It is required, it is necessary, and one way or another it will be collected. Just as man must replant each year for a harvest, each new generation must reapply their own Suitable Sacrifice. As evidenced by their subsequent behaviors, those of the earlier generations were not entirely aware of the full function for which sacrifice is used. Many of them knew and understood that sacrifice functioned as a necessary tool for change. Unfortunately, they were not aware of the fact that it's reapplication is needed to maintain that change. Therefore, to those of the subsequent generations, who have come to believe that they will traipse through life without presenting a significant sacrifice, prepare yourselves. That which has not been collected, will be gathered at the End. And not only will it be collected, but it will be collected with accrued interest.

"If a man wishes to continue to reap, he must continue to sow."

Psalms 132:12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

Deuteronomy 4:10 [Specially] the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and [that] they may teach their children.

Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
