what if man is just too obsessed with knowledge and truth? what if we never find the answers because there are none? what if the only purpose that we serve is to reproduce until the world explodes or implodes or experiences some kind of destruction? what if it's all about genes? no God. no truth. knowledge = useless. just having babies. sex. is that the meaning of life that we so desparately seem to be looking for and have maybe overlooked?

(my viewpoint before i was concerted to Christianity.)

Some of the issues you've raised here have been addressed in this thread.

Looking around, I don't think there's much danger of man being obsessed with knowledge and truth.

And...what if it is all that you just stated?

Do you think that would make anyone live their life differently? I wouldn't.

It is was it is.

If you enjoy being alive, and enjoy having certain experiences, and have some goals that you'd like to fulfill, it's more than enough reason for continued existence.

Cheer up, Chai.

Perhaps we should create purpose in our lives, rather than hope to discover it.

Problem with answers is that you have to know the question. Problem with questions is that they are tailored out of ignorance, and can therefore be the wrong questions.

Better then to listen to the sound of the world. If you can't hear it it's because you're too loud and moving around all the time.

Questions and answers are overrated.
