Does being popular mean compromising on your ethical concerns?
Should we let people talk us slowly out of our convictions just to be one of "the group"?
How does one reconcile the conscience when they have no reliable sense of self?
There is a price to pay for popularity.
The more disciplined and idealistic that people are, often the less popular they become over time.
This is because the focus of their mission is not popularity but principles.
I have a question for you Rex. How does a person define "self"? Is it what separates you from others? Is it something that is only found in God? That's what I believed for many years. That my identity was IN Christ. But I was still a person without Him in my life. I still am to this day. I have qualities and characteristics that are only true to me. Because of what I've done in my life, where I've been, how I choose to view things. So what is it to you that actually defines "self"?
