I grew up with Mini Schnauzers. Those f*ckers do bark a lot, and are territorial. My grandparent's last one that just died a couple months ago was a freak for that breed, it was extremely friendly even around strangers. What a great dog he was. Every other one I've met has been defensive, or at least a little hesitant around strangers at first.

Thank you, he is such a social dog too. I take him to a dog park and he not only has to say hi to all the other dogs but all the other people too.

Marty does bark a lot and gets terratorial when on a leash sometimes. But I swear that if I go out to the mailbox, when I get back he greets me like I've been gone all day.
