osso asked me to start a new thread, because the "other" one kind of died on its own accord. Here's some new dates for my travels to Europe(I posted this on the "other" thread.)

There's been a little change in plans since I posted my schedule, because I'm joining some friends on a tour from the Adriatic to the Black Sea from April 16-30. I pushed back my Slovenia/Croatia trip to May 14-June 11 to accommodate the Adriatic trip. I'm free from May 28-June 10 for independent travel, so I'm all ears.

Well...

I'll be in Italy from Easter Sunday - 8 April to 6 May.
Current plans are:

Week 1 - Roma and ??Cinque Terre / Milan
Week 2 - Lake Como
Week 3 - near Siena
Week 4 - Venice

Due to my very anal travel partner - these dates are pretty well fixed - booked and partly paid for, except for the first week.

If anyone is likely to be around those areas at that time, let me know. We will have a car for weeks 2 and 3. Whilst at those places, we haven't made any real plans so far, so I have some flexibility!

Glad you started this, CI.

Frustrated for not finally meeting Margo, in Siena. Slapping self.

Margo, diary if you so please, or at least short notes...
sobs at not being there too...
I don't suppose you'll tell us where you're staying? how you're travelling?
Hoping you rent a car for a bit...

Hey, how do you all get holidays that long?

But I will definitely be in Europe, and quite ready to meet you.
Preferably near Germany, since I have my little munchkin that needs to travel with me.

Other than that I am flexible!

It's just done this way. Worked the years before and I'm sure will do this time as well.

Did not mean to offend anyone...
Just wondered why four countries and one town are offered.
And then (typical) thought: I wonder why Germany is right at the end!

Shocked

This has been a long process - over the last couple pf years, so to say - mainly among those who attended the previous meetings.
(Besides, there were at least three threads from where these suggestions arose.)

There has been a bigger meeting and a small one in Germany last year (and A2K'ers frequently meet here privately  ).

Ok, if your bald, I'll give you an Indian head massage. How about that?

Well, what exactly is your interpretation of an Indian head massage?

You don't expect me to sit on a chair and get whacked for an hour with a second hand elephant trunk do you?

I have travelled to or through these places before - but usually only briefly. (I've been to Italy twice, I think, before) This is a slow, relaxed trip (I hope) - well as much as it can be when travelling with someone who is focussed on the next spot, and not given to diversions!

Bohne, You have not offended anyone. We're still in the planning stages, and nobody has really made any committments. I'm not even sure Barcelona is any more viable than Germany at this point. I'm pretty flexible as to venue, but not so much with the dates.
