hello everyone, I am hopefully going to finish my DipEd the end of November and so I am looking for a full time job starting january 2007. I have specialised in history Italian and French.

Hey, dd1, and welcome to A2K. I was a secondary teacher, but in the United States, so I am not familiar with requirements in Australia. Unfortunately, the PM's are unavailable to newbies, but there are several people from down under that may be able to help you. I'll see what I can do.

Thank you letty, I am not very new I just didn't come for a long time Wink

I am accredited with the CEO Parramatta and will be having a teaching number with the DET shortly..just got the interview. Thanks for your help.

Thank you msolga...i really hope to get a full time job at the start of january 2007 ... When I'll finish at the end of the year I will also try to apply for residency..just not easy on my own but if I do it with a sollicitor will be way to expensive for me...so i'll see..

I'm wondering if there's some (free) community organizations that could help you with this?

You could ask at the student union or the welfare officer where you're studying for advice.

My university is quite small and I don't think they can help overseas students for free..There shoulb be workshop and presentations for overseas students who plan to stay here but for sure i'll have to pay..
I don't know about free community organisation though...

But you might get some useful information about where some free, good advice can be gotten. Worth a try. I understand these applications are a lot of work!

Yes I am hoping so, I actually wanted to try applying now but I think I have to graduate first...

I will see where I can get infos..and hopefully find some Wink

It is a lot of work, I had a look not long ago they ask so much ! lol
