I have a PM that I opened and didn't finish reading. When I came back to read I can't get it to show on my screen. When I click on it, the screen just blinks and nothing happens. Very frustrating. Please help.

Oh. I thought this was a different topic, but apparently that "s" is meant to be in the lower case.

Slap your computer upside the monitor and swear loudly. This usually makes me feel better about things.

I know Craven is working on the site, so that may be affecting some things. Can you get the sender to re-send you the PM?

Thanks, Jes. That person says they didn't save it. I was just trying to save that person some trouble. Thanks, though. It was worth a try.

It's still not there? Mine don't go away until I delete them.

NO, it's still not there

The message title is there, but when I click on it, it blinks and I get the screen with the message titles again. This one is the only one that does that. Frustrating.

Somehow the body was deleted. It is not going to be recoverable. The title and the text are stored in different tables in the database.

There are a multitude of reasons this could have happened.

Think of it like this. To delete the PM the hamsters have to clean out the text (from one cafeteria database table) and remove the title from another.

Somehow (maybe the hamster died or got distracted) the job was performed half way.

Just delete it, it's not coming back.

I'm getting a you can't post so soon/pls try again later every time I try to send a PM. Is anyone else having this problem or am I being singled out? Because, I know the entire site revolves around me, of course, I'm certain this is something personal Crying or Very sad Please reply, hi-tekkies; but if I'm really being singled out, send me a PM - I'm able to receive them; at least I was several hours ago. OMIGOD, it is all a plot; I just knew it. Twisted Evil

It's not just you.

The PM function will return to full function in about 21 hours.
