Berlin - The leader of Germany's Jewish community had a hastily-arranged meeting Wednesday with Chancellor Angela Merkel after accusing a cabinet minister of anti-Semitism.

Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of German Jews, has been angered over calls by Development Aid Minister Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul for a UN probe into Israel's use of cluster bombs in military strikes on Lebanese and Hezbollah targets.

Knobloch, a Holocaust survivor, has repeatedly complained about what she terms a growing mood against Israel and Jews in Germany.

After the one-hour meeting, a government spokeswoman did not say if the aid minister's views had been discussed. She said Merkel and the four-member Jewish delegation emphasized the 'partnership of trust' between the government and Jews.

In comments to Der Spiegel magazine's online edition, Knobloch had attacked German politicians for views hostile to Israel and singled out Wieczorek-Zeul and Left Party leader Oskar Lafontaine.

'These people support the anti-mood against Jews in Germany,' said Knobloch.

A clearly embarrassed Merkel later told reporters the views expressed by her minister on Israel, cluster bombs and the UN were private opinions and had not been cleared with the government.

Merkel leads the Christian Democratic Union party while Wieczorek- Zeul is a left-wing member of the Social Democratic Party, the junior government partner.

The number of Jews in Germany has increased to about 110,000, up from 30,000 in 1989, thanks mainly to immigration from the former East Bloc.

If you criticize Israel in any shape or form you are an anti-semite even the American administration does not have that right.
The Germans are lucky that they areallowed to have an opinion on what they have for breakfast. To suggest they be allowed to rear their head and qustion the policies stinks of racism and anti-semitism. No one has the right to question Israel.

Bullsh!t. Not permitting one to question Israel has led to the situation we face today. A Zionist state that posesses nuclear weapons without allowing anyone from the UN to inspect or survey them, let alone having signed the NPT. A state who flagrantly disregards any UN resolution if it confines them too much, relying on the US to veto anything they don't approve of.

The Zionists are human like everyone else on this planet. To suggest otherwsie is implying that the Zionists or Jews are superior to any other race/nationality on this planet, therefore, special priviledges are in order. This is simply not true whatsoever. It is simply a superiority complex being displayed by the Zionists, and abused whenever it suits their fancy. The problem is, the world allows them to continue in their abject behavior. Because if they don't conform, the Zionists play their "Holocaust" card. Everyone is so afraid of the "anti-Semite" smear it is sickening.

There have been worse cases of genocide in the history of the world, yet, the Zionists would have us believe that the Nazi Holocaust was unique. There was 30+ million killed in China, or how about the millions of Christians wiped out by the Communists in 1917? Nope...we are to believe that the Nazi holocaust was "THE" event of the 20th century that should be remembered above all else. Funny how it was rarely mentioned in America before the 6 day war in 1967. And it's been abused ever since.
