#61 If you do drop into this monumental hole in the ground, don't try to get your beauty sleep.
huge crater measuring 1,700 feet across ( monumental hole)
was viewed as a sleeping beauty
The steaming lava dome inside the crater grew 1,000 feet, but has been fairly quiet of late.
Geologists have scaled back their monitoring,
but the crater itself remains off-limits, and even scientists
don't venture in for long.
The fact that the question says if you do drop makes me think that the crater is off limits. This is the answer I have.
an eruption that had the explosive power of several atomic bombs
To me this is the answer. Now I didn't give the name here and I won't but something to look into?
Good morning all. I have been up for a while but I had to pick up toys. "Toots, Mama not what you think" LOL And I was playing barbies with my girls....if I could only bottle the energy and love for life my girls have.....
morning tazzy, and angel!
Morning Mama...Jrtaz as long as you are jumping over the moon.
Hello

Sorry I'm heading back to the questions.

Tell me what you think.

transformed a quiet and beautiful landscape into a moonscape of devastation
Is this what you are meaning? Or are you talking about cotm national park in idaho?
I had that as my answer but I don't think its correct. THe fact that one cave is called dew drop and one beauty cave don't make it right. Its just not a monumantal hole to me. Now a crater that is 1700 feet is monumental to me. I'm changing my answer I think. My team leader is coming for a visit and we are going to go over the answers but I really think this one fits the clues better than that one.
You might be right jrtaz but I have gotten myself lost a couple times trying to over think some of the clues. I am gonna stick with mine cuz its a monument and the wording fits.

But you might be right on yours.
over thinking can get us in trouble. But just putting an answer in because it fits and it works could make one lose the million. I keep looking up answers and keep checking mine to be sure that they are correct. 61 is one that I keep going back to because nothing still seems to fit and nothing seems to be 100% correct. If I can disprove an answer and find one that fits better I'll keep looking at it.

Anyhow good luck. I'm going to go watch judging amy.
Tazzie, Angel
I have a different answer for #61  No doubts!

I know what you mean, angel, by overthinking some of these things...it can wreck a once seemingly solid confidence in certain answers...

Yes it can. I was solid on an answer then someone said no that they were 100% theirs didnt fit all the way but I wasted days re-looking for an answer that I had in the first place..crazy
But I am always open to look into something new
