I had a friend once that had an iguana and it grew to be at least 3 fet in length. at 1 point it lost it's tail but it grew back, although it took like 7 to 8 months for it to grow back.

they do make great pets; they can be a little dirty sometimes, but still cool to have. a freind of mine used to have a pretty good sized one, and didn't even have a cage for it. It had run of the house, and liked to sleep on her closet shelf, and play with her house cat...they chased each other all the time! it was a trip to see!
