yep...it was coal black and beautiful...if I wasn't scared SH#$LESS I probably would have liked to stand there and enjoy the view...they are freaky sounding... Shocked

You really saw a black one? Wow! I think that would be more frightening than a bear. I was thinking that maybe they were extinct or more in the category of a unicorn! LOL!

I did pet a bear once. I have a picture but not on my computer. It was at the park where they let the animals roam free, except for the bears. They have a huge habitat for them though. It's a couple hundred acres and the owners live on site. My friend worked there that is how I got a behind the scenes look and yes, I was scared to pet the bear. His name was Robbie and he had not been trained or tamed. Jeez, you ever pet a wild animal?

Me, my cousin and my uncle were walking down a gravel road back to my mammaw's how (we were dump digging Shocked ) and here I was all proud of the toaster I found her (I was only about 10 yrs old) walking along with mammaw's oversized flip flops...when suddenly my uncle stopped and told us to look and there it was staring straight at us Shocked Shocked ...then it turned and sauntered back into the woods...well let me tell you...you would probably never in your life see three people running like we did...needless to say mammaw's flip flops got left behind...but I still held on to the toaster Laughing

I worked in an exotic pet store in N.C. for this guy that had a permit for big cats. He had an African lioness named Sable. After I'd worked there awhile and she got familiar with me, he went in with me to her room and I sat down in the floor and she rolled me all over the place playing like a house cat. She bit down on the back of my neck, just playing like, not rough or anything. How many people do you know that can say they've had a lion bite down on their neck and live to tell? I'll never forget that experience...
