I did not ask for email notification about responses, but I keep getting them anyway. How do I turn this off? On that question in my profile, the "no" button is highlighted. But the emails keep turning up.
Go to the part of the email message you've received which says:
If you no longer wish to watch this topic you can either click the "Stop watching this topic link" found at the bottom of the topic above, or by clicking the following link:
& click the link! Easy!

The preference in the profile determines whether the "notify me..." checkbox is checked by default when you reply.
To cancel updates from threads you've previously asked for updates to (perhaps unwittingly not noticing the checkbox), you should go here:
