If one believed in "Evolution with a purpose" one might surmise nature has given up on us, is intent on starting over as near the beginning as necessary. Not that I am of that opinion, just musing.

i think of diseases like aids, or the possibility of the avian flu epidemic like that, natures way of trying to get rid of us, or at least thin the herd
