Merchants of death.

The world is watching with horror how the Middle East is burning. The first victims are always the innocent, those who have nothing to gain and much to lose.

All TV spectators are shocked and disgusted with the destruction and killing they watch daily. Nobody is in favour of the violence they witness daily.

Nobody?

There are some people who rejoice when they see death and destruction. They don't show it in public, but they are extremely happy and satisfied with the chaos they watch with fascination.

They are the manufacturers of weapons and ammunition. Living in both camps, they rub their hands with glee every time a town is bombed and children die.

Merchants of death must have lobbyists, cruising the hallways of power in Washington, Tehran, Moscow and elsewhere. These salesmen of destruction are not happy when weapons and ammunitions are stored and not used. 'They have to be used in order to be replenished' is their battle cry. What good is a bomb sitting in a depot?

I am sure some of the more influential lobbyists are working hard to start another fire somewhere, to boost sales for their bosses. They live on both sides of any argument that is festering and ready to become a conflict.

Money is not the problem. For war and destruction there are always tons of money spent by politicians who 'have their heart in the right place'.
