not sure if i understand what you mean, but...

if you look at this forum -- Forum Help for example -- you'll see that the first 2 topics are announcements, followed by 10 featured topics, and then the remaining topics are in chrono order sorted by most recent reply.

as far as i know, there is no way to sort the topics in any other fashion...

OK, I guess I didn't understand the "10 featured posts" part of it. You're right, after those 10 all the rest are in reverse chron. order.
