The best concert I ever went to would have to be Michael Jackson at Wembly in 1988 (or was it 87?)

Who else "rocks" live?

Tina Turner greatest rock singer of all time, and I say that as one who has seen the Beatles three times, and the stones twice. (OK the stones are R&B but you know what I mean)

Too many...Tool for their sheer live playing talent, Motley Crue for entertainment value...just a couple off the top of my head. Rolling Stones was far from the best concert.

Since 1962, you sound like a young person who probably thinks that Britney Spears is R&B

Britney Spears wouldn't know R&B if if it bit her arse

yeah, I'm in agreement on that actually. The term R&B has been hijacked by some of todays crappy pop acts.

Britney Spears? I sound like a young person?

Are you joking? Do you know what R&B is? It's Rhythm and Blues, which originally was a combination of jazz, blues and gospel (it's since changed, unfortunatly). But the real R&B, the ORIGINAL R&B was "race music" as it were called. And hardly the Stones.

R&B existed long before the Stones. They may have used R&B elements but they sure weren't an R&B group. I'd never term them as so. Take a gander at any music store and you'll see them under Rock. And rightly so, IMO.

In the 60's, R&B added soul music to it's mix. I wouldn't call the Stones soul either. The longer R&B was around, the more mixed up it became. Today, R&B artists are hardly R&B artists. They are hip hop. But unfortunatly, people don't know the difference.

If you can prove me wrong, please do so. Or would you like me to continue educating you on the history of R&B?

Yea, Rolling Stones are a rock & roll band, influenced by the blues. Led Zeppelin were very blues influenced. But they're definitely not R&B bands. A lot of people ripped off the old blues guys.
