I'd like to use an avatar, but so far have not succeeded. I tried uploading a photo (they are all too big) and an avatar out of the "gallery." I logged in, went to the gallery, clicked on the avatar I selected, and clicked on Submit. My profile shows a little box with a red x in the avatar place instead of the avatar I selected. Usually I have no problems with HTML.
What am I doing wrong?
Happened just that way to me, too. Try this:
Go to the avatar gallery, but instead of selecting your avatar, right click it, and select properties. Now, copy the whole http etc. etc. like you would with any other photo. Go back to profile, and paste it into the space provided for a photo from just anywhere.
This worked for me. Maybe it will for you.
I saw your more recent post, so I assume this did not work. Right?

I would have gone into sorcery, but I've always been weak in spelling, too. Glad you made it.
I swear, you used to just mark the avatar, and submit.
With all the other wierdness going on around here lately, wouldn't surprise me a bit if that was broken at the moment.
