999999=100 how? help me in solution.
Not sure if this will get you to the answer.
One way to make 2 numbers equal each other is to make them a different base.
2 = 10 decimal 2 = binary 10
99.9999(r) = 100 (close enough anyway)
G'day mate! A cold one will do fine, good onya!
Can you prove that .9999999repeating equals 1?
x = 0.999...
10x = 9.999...
10x - x = 9.999... - 0.999...
9x = 9
x = 1
I always just thought of it that
1 - .9999... = .00000...1
and since the 0 repeats forever you don't ever get to the 1, so it's effectively
1 - .999... = 0,
so .9999 has to be 1.
also .3333... x 3 = 1, but really it = .999... .
coz one of those numbers is in a different number system?
