I didn't know navajo fry bread is the same as sopapillas. (I haven't had fry bread yet.)

Hmmm, from a quick recipe search it looks like sopapillas have sugar and fry bread doesn't and that sopapillas are made with yeast, and fry bread not - but I'm learning here.
