As far as I've read the related news last week, it's not about "Stem Cell Researchers" per se but 'only' about researches with embryonic stem cells. (And that's regulated in a couple of countries, like here in Germany, by different laws.)
There was a time when the church excommunicated people who said the earth wasn't the center of the universe. Who cares.
One day when we're able to cure most terminal illnesses and repair brain/nerve tissue and major organ injuries AND regrow any part of the body....... no ones gonna B***H about CELLS used up in research.
Especially when it's your 3 year old daughter who can now stop stuttering and having seizures.
Especially when it's your 80 year old grandmother that can now remember your name.
Especially when it's your 16 year old son who can live a normal life because he's regained feeling back in his legs, walk on his own, and knows when to pee.
