Mercy-killing,good or bad?Personally, I think it is ok if a patient can't survive,and it can reduce his pain.But every coin has two sides,what
do you think ?

There are different viewpoints for a couple of reasons:

One - religious beliefs where Christians feel that only God can take a life.

Two - Do doctors really know for sure that something is terminal? There have been rare occassions where doctors felt a person was terminal however, they have lived significantly longer than predicted. My friend's dad for one. Doctors felt he would not live much longer (certainly less than a year). He went on to live years and years (more than 10 years longer than predicted). He also, although having medical issues and not being able to work, was able to participate fully in other ways. He certainly was pretty strong - played with his children, etc.
