I was in Manchester visiting my mother not long after. As I drove towards the centre, the damage started at the upper storeys of buildings and gradually worked its way down to total devastation at ground zero.
This was of course 5 years before 9/11 when the boys back in the old country were still tremendously popular in the shamrock pubs and bars of New York and Boston.

Very interesting. She posted it about a week ago, and I meant to reply but the football seemed to take over my life at the time (still has).
