I dunno, I think politics can be every bit as sensitive as religion. It's the degree of difference and the impact of the consequences that seems to matter.

It's not religion.

It's not Politics.

It's people. Pure and simple. Those things are merely vehicles by which we operate.

We are the most vicious and destructive animal on earth, bar none.

Embrace it or don't.

I do Smile

Dok,

Just curious. When you say embrace it or don't, are you saying accept that is the way it is and do something about it to make it better or embrace it as to engage in it more fully?

If I specify, I lose the edge of flexibility the generic number two provides me, therefor, I will refrain from giving names. Smile Smile

Thousands of years of recorded history reveal human nature to be a certain way.
You can fight against it, in favor of some ethereal 'higher' code of conduct, or you can embrace what you are.
That's all I am saying here.

I think Eorl's captured the current state of affairs pretty well. I think a lot of folks on both sides of the american political spectrum are making politics just as sensitive, divisive and "life-threatening" as religion has been for millenia. The many scathing derogatory comments made recently against the current and past administrations, congressional members, and party hacks were, in the past, reserved exclusively for heretics, papists, and infidels.
