I learned how by simply clicking the "quote" button on someone's post that had a picture and reading the code.
The long and short of it is

Right click on the photo or image and bring up the properties, then copy and paste it in between [img] and [/img].
You may want to preview it before submitting it to be sure it worked.
In fact, here, hit the "quote" button at the top of my post and see what I typed to insert this image of my avatar. It will be the next line after this sentence.
