What the heck is that thing! Shoot it! Shooooooot it!
That thing is a very randy Labrador Retriever who was on the trail of a young, nubile looking poodle who happened to be on "heat".
Had the devil's own job getting him back that day!
Men, eh?
Had a look outside this morning, and it had been snowing!
All was quiet, apart from the milkman making his rounds......
Donning my "walk the dog in the snow" gear (woolly hat, long johns, trackie bottoms, thick fleece, snow goggles and my absolute favourite woolly scarf) I posed for a passing photographer (face blanked out for reasons of national security)
Then managed to twiddle a few knobs and dials on my own camera, and took some rather interesting, but mainly white photos during the course of walking the rabid mutt.
This one is entitled "Snow flecked ancient oak, with pointer pissing on a litter bin in the foreground"
"Dog on picnic table."
"Seven swans-a-swimming."........ Well, there are eight, actually. I tried to shoo one of the buggers away but he kept hissing at me.
"Arty farty shot under a bridge"........Technical note...I achieved the romantic blurring on the edges by hurrrrring with my hot breath on the camera lens. It led to a coughing fit, but I'm sure you'll agree that it was worth it.
Ohh snow!!
Wonderful.
Looking at your pictures I suddenly remembered some old mystery books- the stairs, the swans.
This inspector Jury loved snow.
That under the bridge shot does look a bit spooky, doesn't it.
A bit "Hounds of the Baskervilles"-ish.
That's a lovely scarf you're wearing... looks warm...
Photo's are beautiful, Ellpus.

Yes, that scarf was a birthday present, sent by a very kind lady in Manchester.
It's been pouring with rain here all day, and the snow has all gone, apart from one MASSIVE snow boulder that some kids had rolled, up on the golf course.
Looks like a bloody great puffball mushroom, stuck there all on its own in the middle of the fairway. That'll please the golfers!
That is some kind of beautiful. You must be getting all of our snow! The swans and the pointer look marvelous in that landscape.
And so does a certain greyhound...
wonderful photos!!
