[Old] Some can see my avatar, others can't! The solution.

Ok, sometimes people start telling you that they can't see your avatar but you can see it, or they tell you that they can see it but you or others can't.

Why does this happen?

Because of browser caching. Images that have been loaded a few times might be stored in your browser cache for easier viewing.

This means that even if the image is deleted and showing the red X, for some the image is loading off their hard drive and still displaying.

Why do avatars dissapear?

As of this posting all avatars are hosted on our servers, so third party site difficulties are not an issue.

If you upload an avatar it resides on the Able2Know server, but there ae several actions you can do to delete the image. Foremost of whch would be to check the box saying "delete the avatar".

But the main way people unintentionally delete their avatar is by entering the avatar gallery.

Uploaded avatars are deleted when you enter the avatar gallery. This is because the server would fill quickly if all avatars are left on the server, even when the member chooses another avatar.

So if people are saying they can't see your avatar, upload it again. it's likely that you deleted it somehow.
