Not an anemonae huh? Good, I was hoping it wouldn't be that easy.

Many jellyfish start life in a non-free swimming stage before the polyps free themselves. I think the Medusa Jelly is one.

I'm going to guess that this might be a jelly which has not yet detached? The only other thing I can think of is a coral polyp of some type.

Actually, that looks like a shark that just ate a really fat, delicious kid, and the only thing left is a fragment of the inner tube.
