@littlek,
You were pretty quick on the Crimson Breasted Shrike too. I thought that would take longer.

@littlek,
However, the Chileans make very tasty recipes with that odd creature..

@Francis,
It's a Tree Frog (Frogus Treeus) Smile

(I think I need a hint to get closer ...)

@rosborne979,
The Latin name is a bit more complicated, Ros Mr. Green

But you are right in that it is a tree frog..

Well, this frog lives only on a particular island.

(You wouldn't believe it if you haven't seen it..)

Ok, I'll have to poke around some more. I think I've seen that color/patterning before somewhere, but I can't remember the name.

@Francis,
Do you have a picture of the dorsal side of the frog?

@rosborne979,
Sure, Ros, but keep focusing on your search:

@rosborne979,
I have been searching and searching for red eyed tree frogs

with fire belly

with tiger belly

with orange toes

with red toes

with orange stripey tummy!

I can't find it either! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Shocked

@Francis,
If I could identify the plant it's sitting on I might be able to identify the island, but the plant seems even less obvious than the frog.

Nothing unusual on the dorsal side. Female larger than male (but that's common). I'll try to focus on your clues... Smile

@Izzie,
Hi Izzy,

Assuming that Francis was giving us a hint when he said...

"Well, this frog lives only on a particular island.
(You wouldn't believe it if you haven't seen it..)"

I think we're looking for an island which is associated with the idea, "You wouldn't believe it if you haven't seen it."

Do you know of any literary or movie references to an island that fits that bill?
