Does Germany still hold the title of the most decadent country on the planet? Or has the US wrested that dubious title away?
Kudos to Gus for being the first poster ever to bring "Germany" and "decadence" together in the one sentence, without it also including "not".
German gyros? Is Thomas serious?!
Don't tell me. It's made with sausage and sauerkraut instead of lamb and tzatziki. Am I right?
Gyros is German like Döner or Börek.
I'm always glad to go to Germany cause you cant get decent Börek in Holland or Hungary...

Tomotoes, onions, salad and tsatsiki - with pork meat, as original as in Greece (lamb is only used in doener).

the book ...The Dedalus Book of German Decadence: Voices of the Abyss ... can be purchased at amazon for $15.89 - that certainly is not too much to pay for a little decadence .

Do you think, one of the reasons Turks came to Germany was because there, at least, nobody would frown at their umlauts?
I mean, it makes sense. We sure dont want none of them friggin umlaut users corrupting our morals in Holland.

That's funny, coming from a Dutch emigrant to a country that has even more umlauts than German does.

I agree with Thomas.
