Walter and his strange german diet

Taos, we are in Taos New Mexico at a small cafe and Walter orders Fish Tacos and posole (which he doesn't eat) like he is in southern California or something. The Dys has shredded beef blue corn tacos. Then on to Cortez Colorado where Walter orders Liver and Onions at the Sleeping Ute Cafe and finally back in Gallup New Mexico Walter orders hamburger steak with mash potatos and green beans with orange juice. Germans are weird. I'm never taking Walter anywhere again.

Walter took photographs of all his dinners. The man's a fruitcake I tell you.

Hey. I love liver and onions, but it's got to be calves' liver. Tonight it's meat loaf and mashed potatoes. I'm like Walter. I enjoy plain food.

Actually, dys. I came here to get my scrambed eggs and brains together.

i think this is a most serious crime !
i hope walter will not be denied re-entry into germany .

Good to hear that Walter can find some decent food on his travels.

Just for a stop we have been there - I only wanted to give dys an opportunity to start a defamatory threat about me.

Walter! You ordered liver and onions at a place called the Sleeping Ute Cafe'? Are you mad?!

That's like ordering fish & chips at an Italian trattoria.
Or Indian curry at a Mexican restaurant.
Or rack of lamb at McDonald's.

<shaking>

Fry bread, Walter. Order fry bread. Or a hamburger or something. When in doubt, ask the waitress what's good that day.

(pssssst....dys. Go easy on the guy. He ain't from around these parts.)

Fry bread? What the hell is fry bread? If you tell me you eat fried bread for dinner, I'm gonna choke.

Eva: dys is the incarnation of the evil - having started this thread mades him even worse .... and could make me a lot more depressive.

But since roger arrives here shortly and Diane is such a lovely person, I think, I'll survive even this dyslexic thread

Damn Walter you should have stayed a couple more days, I just picked up some Lebecase (albeit without the horse) from a german butcher. I'm hoping it tastes as good as the stuff I had in Frankfort.

Walter, didn't you take some sauerkraut and saussages with you?
You could have hid them in the double bottom of your suitcase......

However, it wasn't really bad - the food I had had, I mean

Some is, some isn't. Waiting to find a great mexican and a great new mexican restaurant in ABQ myself, these cuisines being distinguished from each other by locals. Our local alternative newspaper has a lot of places listed I want to try out..

so far I've found some really good italian food, some really good indian (asian) food, and some really good all-american food. Stay tuned for updates.

Fry bread is Indian (Native American) bread. Should be a safe choice at anyplace called the Sleeping Ute Cafe', I would think.

I still haven't had fry bread. Or... frito pie.

There is a notbad mexican restaurant near Dys and Diane's, comfortable too. Although Dys might correct me to say it's new mexican, seems tipico for mexican in the US to me, so far.

Still waiting to try some more Vietnamese food here, pant, pant.
