I'm not receiving them again today.
Is there a reason for this? Or perhaps I've missed out on some A2K information about updates?

No one is receiving them, msolga. It is really frustrating to me. Perhaps we won't ever get them again, more's the pity.

I'm also being thwarted and ignored.

The hamsters are on holiday.

Still no updates. Sad
Maybe they're history now? Sad Question
My apologies to anyone I've not responded to on any thread I may have initiated .... It's very hard to keep track of recent posts, I'm lost, I'm afraid....
... & I'm finding it difficult to remain involved ... <sigh>

Sorry you're having a tough time, msolga.

I've never used updates, so am always a little mystefied by the sturm und drang (sp?) when they're gone.

I operate out of "Your Posts" (for threads I'm involved in) and "New Posts" (to see what's up, in general). Easy-peasy.

i like(d?) them because they pinpoint the exact place on a thread to read from.
i often have to scroll back a few pages to see what's been added since i was last there...

Right, and it's very time consuming to have to do that, Region.

On the search and forum pages, if you click the orange icon that preceeds the topic title (when it's new to you) it will do the same thing.

Msolga, to keep trrack of threads initiated by you, you can click on "Your Topics"...this is to the left of your screen, just above the first post on a page:

Your Posts
Your Topics
New Topics

"Your posts" takes you to a list of topics you have posted to.....the thread most recently responded to is at the top, and it goes in descending order of responses. I use it all the time.

"Your Topics" takes you to a list of the topics you have created....again the one most recently posted to is at the top, and so on down to the "coldest" one.

I never used email updates...except to see if a topic had been responded to without going to A2k.

Thanks, Craven. I already (sometimes) use the Your Posts, Your Topics & New Topics links when I'm A2King. But the email links were good when in a bit of a rush: I could check any new posts quickly, keep up with the lastest posts, then come back later & properly log in when I had more time to dilly-dally about for a while. It sort of made A2K communication a bit more immediate & fresh. Tonight I'm working my way through a backlog of threads that I'm interested in. I'm sure I'll lose a few from a few days back, though ...

Ms. Olga--

Isn't life wonderful? At least momentarily.

Still, intervals of sunshine are most welcome in this weary world.
