Php 3:13
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before
I have trained myself over the past few years to never think about any an event after the day in which it happened. Each day is a new start. That is the way to a peaceful life.
Notice our bodies arms are made to naturally reach ahead... We need to contort our body position to reach backward. We need to take our eye off of the mark/goal to reach backwards.
The mind is the same way, it is made to reach ahead and it has to contort and lose focus to reach back...
The conscious mind decides what it will retain and what it will discard...
I...erm...
Buggered if I remember what I was going to say now.
I'll get back to you.
I think forgetting is rare, and possibly only a pathological thing.
Not remembering, on the other hand, is very common.
