Probably redundant Craven, but just in case you didn't know, "Critical Error ...Could not connect to data base" has been happening all day here today on and off.
Well, it has when I have been home...
I got it once too Craven - maybe the Pacific connection has a lobster sitting on it. Seems better now.
i got my last e-mail update at 8:00pm EDT last night, but should've received a bunch more...
Yeppers, I was just about to report that email updates seem to be on the blink...
(Do Americans understand "on the blink"?)
I swear the quote function went nuts on me, too.
But probably user error...though I couldn't spot one when I looked at the post after clicking "Edit"...
We not only grasp "on the blink" but "on the fritz".
E-mail updates missing here, also.
I suspect it to be an EBKAC error.
Ok, I'll bite...what the hell is that?
pasta? I thought he was some sort of weird critter!
I'll give him EBKAC though!
Possum-cat'd make a meal out of something like that!
I prefer to think of myself as saucy.
Still no updates, but the site itself is doing fine. Craven must have been house cleaning.
I barely have time to deal with it, hence no updates but there are some pretty serious problems with the server that I'm working on. It may (or may not) continue through the weekend (after which I expect to have it fixed).
Thanks, Craven, for the info and your great work!!!
And critical errors seem to have stopped here, at least, anyway.
Famous last words!
Just in case it might help, I got this message a few times just then when I was trying to open threads/post:
"Please ensure both the install/ and contrib/ directories are deleted"
I've seen that error, too. It will come on and off for much of the day.
