Hello there! I'm very sorry to say but it seems that Russia is not going to join the WTO anymore. As fate has willed, I have to work in Russia, or at least spend most of time here on business so I'm pretty well aware of the trends of Russian society and government. I happened to get to know from inner media sources that Russian government has arrived at a decision to stay away from the WTO as it has been discovered to be of no economic benefit for the country. The problem is that Russia is the largest Europe's power resources supplier and is gonna lose this item of income as soon as it is in the WTO, this leading to serious social and economical upsets.
By the same token, two Russia's top negotiators on the WTO entry, deputy PM Kudrin and trade minister Gref, happen to have had their own expectations connected with Russia's entry and were seeking after ways to benefit at the expense of Russia. That's the reason they have been enjoying a much lower statute now.
That's it. Thank you for attention. I just thought it would be sort of helpful if I give it out.
