We are moving to Sydney end of this year. I have a 9 years old daughter. She plays chess very well. I am wondering which public school could I enroll her. Anyone has ideas/recommendation will be appreciated.
not sure if you mean public as in open to all state funded school; or public as in fee paying private school?
also sydney is huge... have you decided where you are going to live, or are you picking a school first and moving near there?
I mean public in funded school. I will pick a school first then moving near there. I am not sure whether it is popular to have a chess club in the public primary school. Thanks.
i think the best thing you could do is to pick a few suburbs that you like the look of (no point in moving somewhere you don't like because the kids won't like it either is as well), find out the primary schools there and send off a few emails asking for info. I'm sure you'll find the majority of schools will be more than helpful.
Most primary schools have a lot of activites (both in and after school) going on - i'm sure you'll find something
