I don't mean to add another burden to your load but do think about the insurance ramifications for the house that you do buy. With all the weather damage and devastation recently in the U.S. I groan at the thought of you buying a lovely little house and some storm flooding it or damaging it. When you go looking at houses find out the flood and wind zones of the home, if you can. Make the seller or agent do that for you (it can cost extra if you were to go do it yourself). I know property insurance policies exclude Texas for tier 1 wind cover. Unfortunately the insurance can be very expensive to add flood and wind coverage back in.

I don't want anything to happen to your lovely home when you DO move in (and you WILL!)

the deadline for enrollment is almost here and I have not had any contact from the lender yet.

I have just sent him all of the pieces of information needed.. The last piece being the misters retirement fund balance..

so, if I dont hear from him by Monday afternoon.. Im calling him .
