Great thread, hingehead.

Play some piano in the key of C. but I did learn to play tenor ukulele, and, of course a vocalist. Love China Grove and the Doobie Bros.

2 packs,Thats why I don't use a wah wah.

Who cares if you haven't played in 10 years that don't mean you can't talk about it. The "Band" I said i'm in is three guys camping with no amps, a cooler of beer and Bar BQ. We havn't even played for anybody except for random people. I thoght I was going to be a rockstar when I was younger. I don't make a living with music but I wouldn't want to live without it.

No matter how out of practice we are we always end up with something by the end of the night. When you get a good jam going theres nothing like it. You forget about everything else.

At the NC State Engineering Fair in 1940, first prize went to NCSU physics professor Sidney Wilson for his invention of the world's first fully electric guitar. The instrument was also the first to have single-string pick-up. Clearly the sensation of the fair, the guitar was played by physicist Mickey May.

Gibson Corporation had introduced a converted acoustic guitar - the ES-150 - in 1937 that used a single bar to pick up the signal from all strings. The instrument achieved some popularity, but was plagued by unequal loudness across the six strings.

First electric guitar (not made by Les Paul)

Leon Theremin, Inventor

Born: 15 August 1896
Birthplace: St. Petersburg, Russia
Died: 3 November 1993
Best Known As: Inventor of the electronic musical instrument

Beginning in the 1940s the Theremin was used for movie soundtracks, and these days is most commonly associated with 1950s science fiction films (and with the 1960s pop song by The Beach Boys, "Good Vibrations"). The instrument enjoyed fame in the U.S. and the U. K., but the whereabouts of its inventor remained a mystery. As it turns out, he had been kidnapped by the Soviet secret police, imprisoned for seven years and then put to work for Soviet intelligence. The story of his life and of the development of his electronic instruments was recounted in the 1993 documentary film Theremin:
