The Lord beat me to the chocolate beer link--

It's quite good, and you don't taste the chocolate so much as it's got a spicier flavor. When I saw it sitting on the shelf I had to try it.

Yes, here's how it goes. Eat dark chocolate, then drink dark beer. Repeat until satisfied.

What's an IPA?


India Pale Ale.

It was a special brew, designed specifically for British troops to drink in hot climates...ie India!

It's a lot lighter and crisper than the old fashioned ales.

My favourite?

There is a dark chocolate here that has little chunks of liqueur dipped cherries in it.

One square of that is then sensuously popped into the mouth, and swilled around the gums with a mouthful of Hardy's Australian Shiraz. A very rich, dark red wine.

Then we make s-l-o-w l-u-r-v-e to cool jazz music, whilst the small fan quietly rattles in the background and the city cars pass by.

I shall limp off to bed now.........

A note on IPA. It is light and refreshing, but it can be very bitter. So, Gala, if you're not into bitter, beware!

I love all this beer-chocolate and wine-chocolate talk! There are reputibly bad combos which I enjoy.
