CJ will be even more upset if you point out just how bigoted his remarks are. He'll get very nasty about it.

Hey, CJ--typical bigoted horseshit . . .

Can you explain to me how boycotting Mexican vacations would cure the illegal immigrant problem, cj? Seems to me that whatever economic support that is derived from tourism dollars would help alleviate joblessness in Mexico.

It's just an eye for an eye thing.

On May 1, you won't hear the sound of a single leafblower. I'm looking forward to it.

My real feeling is that every dollar that goes to Mexico only increases the illegal alien population here in the states.

Actually, I believe that every dollar I spend in Mexico makes it LESS likely that a Mexican family will be desperate enough to try to enter the US illegally. Maybe we should spend MORE dollars vacationing there.

(Love those spinning wheels, cj. Still not getting anywhere, are ya?)

I'll believe that when they give up Catholicism.

My Mexican relatives aren't Catholic.

So, um, am I supposed to no longer visit them? Can they visit me? I'm so confused.

The US has been sending jobs to Mexico for a few decades now. It doesn't seem to have done anything to reduce the flow of illegals, now has it?

You think the mexicans brought the leafblowers with them from mexico? You think that's their clean up method of choice? Perhaps the later is true, but those leaf blowers will be run by someone else if not the low-pay labor force. The leaf blowers are owned by the americans who profit from those laborers and will be staying in the states. Unfortunately.

Osso, I don't deny gangs and gang violence. I don't think gang violence should be overlooked or dealt with lightly. But, to base one's immigration policy on gang activies is ludicrous.

Little K, that link I showed, the shortened one from the website cjhsa got his photo from, was of a series of articles, not about gang violence, at least the articles that I remember; the LA Times article was also about a huge protest march in LA (re recent immigration legislation efforts) heavily peopled with high school students.

This was a bit of a tangent to the immediate discussion in those pages, but was news to me about the giant protests. (I don't watch tv, suppose it has been on the news). These are my old neighborhoods and neighbors and I was interested in reading about them.

An eye for an eye only makes both parties half-blind.

I'm not following you're thought on cause and effect of money into Mexico increasing the illegal alien population here.

The illegal part. Too many "legals" really aren't, IMO, because their parents cheated the system to allow them to be born here.

CJ,

You're one weird little puppy there babe! You don't even get that you're the foreigner here!!

CJ,

Well, I guess it starts with the fact that whites weren't here for 12,000 years before the whites came out and basically practiced genocide upon the native population.

I admit it. I personally killed most of the native Americans and stole their land, after raping all their women and eating all their buffalo.

Yup, it's all my fault.

Is that what you were going to say Anon? Thought I'd save you some time.
