To remind you NYers that there is a wideer world out there, the PA peregrines on the Rachel Crson Building in Harrisburg Pa. have been seen courting in mid air and the female was cleaning up the ledge box on the 20th floor.
SO, the PA Dept of ENv Protection (DEP) has once again opened its live streaming and falcon cams and attached them to DEP's webpage. For those of you not remembering it from last year here is the exact spot to where you must be clicked through spaceFALCON CAM OF PENNSYLVANIA
They are late sleepers on Saturdays so dont wake em up by all this weekend peering and gawking. Its also a falcon holiday this weekend.
Thanks for the reminder, fman.
I lost a lot of my bookmarks when I tidied up my puter that'll teach me.

Farmerman--
Thanks.
If I get organized I'll send an assortment of Falcon E-Cards. I particularly like the photo of suspicious mama with four purple eggs.
Perhaps the rent increases were not in their price range.

It gave me a "CAm is REady" prompt but I couldnt get anything to happen. Maybe they only have the cam on at a specific time.
Its good to hear that youve got some birds back in the city after last year.
The Pa and NY birds oughta be hatching about the same time so well see whose little birdees are uglier.

This just in:
WE HAVE A MOMBOID ON THE NEST IN NEW YAWK!!
Camera up and running, lovely shot up the East River, Brooklyn Bridge just on the horizon and mommy is sitting on ...... we don't know... we just know that she is there.
The nest was empty all last year so this is pretty good news for a April Friday.
I'm having trouble getting the Bird Cam to work--even at off peak times such as 6:50 a.m. on a Saturday.

Roberta, when you go to the Pa page, theres a LIVE 2008 FALCON CAM link just below the still shots. All you see is her breathing. Ill bet shes going out of her skull.

The live link from PA works quite well, even on dial-up.
Street noise, wind, and all.

Farmerman--
I did my best, but evidently malfunctioning electronics are not newsworthy.

I'm in charge of phone lines? What phone lines? Where? The boids are using the phone? I didn't know falcons were big talkers.
I went back to the PA site. Found the live link (I think). Saw a feather move. Tried not to get too worked up.
