A tree 300 inches in height and 32 inches in circumference has ivy creeping up and around the trunk it has gone 60 inches in one complete twist what is the total length of the creeper in inches

I don't mean to step on Whim's toes, but...
If you laid the tree on the ground and rolled it to unwind the ivy, a right triangle would be formed. The ivy is the hypotenuse, the circumference (32) is the base, and 60 is the height.
Pythagoras tells us that the ivy must be 68 inches. So, every 60 inches of height adds 68 inches to the ivy.
300/60 * 68 = 340
60 + 32
Height it travels plus the distance around the tree.
