Oh! I just saw this thread, shucks
I picked up this book sometime last year. I'm about half-way through it
That's not a punch to it's quality, oh no, I find it fascinating. However I am just extremely horrible at time-management.
I really do enjoy it though... I was raised in a Baptist home, and began turning away from Christianity in my pre-teen years. I've finally become comfortable with my position in theology (one commonly known as Atheist), but am still surrounded by my past belief (though I never really believed it at all). My sister is a missionary, my family all Christians, I live in central Oklahoma - the Bible Belt. I am witness to what Sam Harris speaks about every day, and perhaps that's why it intrigues me the way it does.
Once I finish the book, I will definately comment more on it. Until then, I'm high-lighting as I go so that I can quickly find reference points.
