Just wondering, i've been told that you can't do it anymore, but if I still can, I would like to know how.

In general, links and images are no longer permitted in member signatures - its coded, its been that way quite a while, and if you read the advisory next to the signature input box, you will find:

This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 250 character limit. Please do not place links or images in your signature.
