hey everyone,
i am an australian student and we have to do a project on indigenous australians or aborigines. I was looking into the tent embassy and how it was created and started wondering how aboriginal people actually felt about it...is it still an icon, have you ever been there and how do you feel...do you dislike being called aboriginal or indigenous as that is the forced european name? if anyone has any comments or feelings please help me. Thanks
gosh please someone reply!
Hi, Bubbles
This may not be the forum to get a suitable reply.
There is just a handful of Australians here, in a predominantly US-centric board, - and - to my knowledge - none of them are of aboriginal descent.

yeah...after i posted and no one replied for a few days i realised that! =]
im going to try an aussie forum
Aboriginal tent embassy was built as Aborigines pointed out that they lived here but did own any of the land (as a race, country, nation etc) so should be entitled to have an embassy, much like the UK, PNG, America, Ireland etc all have in canberra.
